A coaching institute in Sikar, Rajasthan has lived up to its promise, a rather lofty one at that. Samarpan coaching institute had promised to their students that whoever managed to achieve an all India rank which is lower than 20 IIT-JEE Advanced exam, will be gifted a BMW car. The institute kept their word to their student Tanmay Shekhawat, who not only cracked the IIT-JEE Advanced exam, but also bagged a commendable 11th rank at all India level with 291 marks . Post his incredible achievement, he was gifted a brand new BMW 1-Series worth INR 28.50 lakh by R L Poonia and Shrichand Dhaka, the directors of the Samarpan coaching institute.

Needless to say, Tanmay, son of a lecturer, was overjoyed by the Bavarian gift, and was quoted saying “I am very happy after receiving such lavish gifts from my teachers, however I never dreamt of it. I am thankful to my institute and all credit goes to them for my stunning performance.” Tanmay, after cracking what is widely regarded as one of the world’s toughest exams, wants to pursue education in Computer Science branch in IIT Bombay. As for the 1-Series, we believe that its the ideal automotive starter pack for the young and successful. With a 2.0-litre diesel engine sending 150 hp to the rear wheels, the 1-Series (118d) accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 210 km/h.
