Stuttgart based carmaker Porsche has launched the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS in India. The Porsche Boxster GTS is priced at INR 1.15 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the Cayman GTS will lighten your pockets by INR 1.17 crore. Both the mid-engined sportscars are uprated versions of the Boxster S and Cayman S, respectively.
Powering the Cayman GTS and Boxter GTS is a 3.4-liter six pot mill. For the Boxster GTS, the engine crank out 326 bhp and 37.7kgm of torque. In the Cayman GTS, the same engine produces 335bhp and 38.7kgm of torque, a bump of approx 30 bhp. Both the cars transfer power to the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK automatic gearbox. Additionally, the Sport Chrono package is standard on both cars.
In Sport Plus mode, the Boxster GTS accelerates from standstill to 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds, and the Cayman GTS is a tenth of a second faster. Top speed for the Boxster GTS and the Cayman GTS is is 279kph and 283kph, respectively. Both the cars have been equipped with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which allows drivers to choose between sportier or more comfort-oriented settings. Both cars have been shod with 20-inch wheels from the Carrera S.
In terms of cosmetic bits, both the cars feature blackened bi-xenon headlights on the exterior. Inside, both the Porsches get standard bucket seats and leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts.
