Polaris bags ‘Fastest Vehicle of the Day’ title at Meerut Motocross

Motorsports have begun to pick up pace in India. A number of events are organised throughout India. In one such event, off-road and all-terrain vehicle manufacturer Polaris, participated in the second edition of Meerut Autocross & Motocross that took place on May 31 and June 1, 2014. The event had 150 entries with participation from approximately 100 vehicles.

Polaris India captured the top spot as it was declared the ‘Fastest Vehicle of the Day’. Polaris bagged the first place in the 4X4 without roll cage class and second spot in 4X4 with roll cage class. The company participated in the category for quads with its RZR XP 900 model. The vehicle was driven by company’s rider, Raj Singh Rathore.

Expressing his views on the occasion, Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director of Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Year after year, Polaris India has proved its dominance when its toughness and endurance quotient are tested in rallies and races. This victory in Meerut Autocross & Motocross 2014 is yet another testimony of the capabilities of our vehicles across a range of terrains. The rally was all about testing not only the participants’ ingenuity, physical and mental toughness, but also the vehicles’ capabilities of endurance and performance. The Polaris RZR XP 900 has once again lived up to Polaris India’s long-standing reputation of performance in toughness, which is a hallmark of all Polaris models.”

“I also extend a big Thank You to the encouraging spectators at the rally who cheered along our award-winning rider, Mr. Raj Singh Rathore,” Dubey further added.

Polaris entered the competition with its RZR XP900 model which is powered by 875cc twin-cylinder, fuel injected engine that produces 88Bhp of power. This power can be transferred to all wheels or two-wheels, based on the users preference.
