Tata Motors recently launched the Aria facelift, bringing in a considerably updated version of its flagship product.
The Aria gets new clear lens tail lamps and black bezel double barrel headlamps, which come to give a slightly more premium touch to the exteriors. Under the hood, the new Aria facelift sports an updated 2.2 litre VARICOR engine that has a max power of 150PS and a peak torque of 320Nm. The updated Aria has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 15.05km/litre. The new engine with VGT (Variable-Geometry Turbocharger) supplies a healthy a lower-end flat torque, which kicks in from as low as 1500 rpm, for a more precise response from the engine, improving in-city driving capabilities.
The Aria facelift features a high end sound system that has been acoustically tuned for optimum performance and boasts of four mid-range speakers, four tweeters, one centre speaker and 1 sub-woofer. This audio system comes from JBL, a unit of Harman International Industries, Inc., which specializes in audio equipment for consumers and for the entertainment and automotive industry.

Some of the features that the updated Aria has include- an in-dash Navigation System, Power retractable ORVMs, Ultrasonic Reverse Guide System and Driver Information System (DIS). Also available are darkness sensing- ‘follow me home’ headlamps, cruise control, Blue 5 connect and rain sensing wipers.
The Aria comes equipped with Six airbags (driver, co-passenger, side and curtain airbags) on high end variants.
The updated Aria is fitted with a new timing belt, with improved durability to 200,000 kms. A new replaceable cartridge-type pre-filter, provides for improved filtering for enhanced robustness of fuel injection system. The updated engine comes with a warranty of 3 years or 150,000 kms, whichever is earlier.
Available in 3 variants, the new Aria is being launched in three trims – PURE LX, PLEASURE and PRIDE 4×4, and starts at a price of Rs 9.95lakhs. The all-new Aria comes with a vehicle warranty of 3 years or 100,000 kms, whichever is earlier.
