Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, has rolled out the all-new “Splendor iSmart” with ‘i3S Technology’ (Idle Stop and Start System). The Splendor iSmart, which was showcased at the recently held Auto Expo, aims at further consolidating Hero MotoCorp’s leadership position in the 100cc segment.
Splendor iSmart is now available at all Hero dealerships across the country and is priced at Rs. 47,250/- (ex-showroom Delhi), Rs 49,967/- (ex-showroom Mumbai), Rs 48,192/- (ex-showroom Chennai), Rs 48,549/- (ex-showroom Kolkata) and Rs 48,014/- (ex-showroom Bengaluru). It is available in four colors with techno graphics – Sports Red, Leaf Green, Excellent Blue and Heavy Grey.
i3S is a green technology that automatically shuts the engine when idling and turns it on, when needed, with a simple press of the clutch, giving more mileage in congested cities. Splendor iSmart comes with a 100-cc air-cooled, 4 Stroke Single Cylinder OHC engine that delivers maximum power of 5.74 KW (7.8 Ps) at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 0.82 Kg-m (8.04 N-M) @ 4500 rpm.

Hero MotoCorp has also made its foray into Turkey in partnership with Asya Makina (Asya Dis ticaretvemakina san ltd sti), a part of the diversified Soysal Group. The company has started its operations in this strategic market with as many as 50 outlets spread across the country.
