The Nissan Terrano can be booked for a sum of INR 50000 and it is being said that the waiting period for the car could be of up to 45 days right from it launch, which means you need to hurry up before it swells even further.

It may be noted that Nissan India has promised that the Terrano will have a sub-INR 10 lakhs price for the flagship diesel variant. However, our sources have informed us that the same would have an on road price of close INR 11 lakhs in Pune.

The Nisann Terrano will go on sale with two diesel and one petrol engine variants.

The diesel Terrano is powered by the same 1.5 litre K9K oil burner that can be found powering the Renault Duster. Akin to the Duster, the motor will be available in two states of tune for the Terrano- 85PS and 110PS. The petrol variant will come equipped with a 1.6 litre normally aspirated engine that has a max power of 104 PS. While the less powerful diesel engine and the petrol motor will come mated to a 5 speed manual ‘box, the 110PS diesel will boast of a 6 speed manual transmission.

The car will go on sale in three trim levels- XE, XL and XV.

  • The XE will come with the 85PS diesel engine and will be equipped with a driver side airbag, power windows and a multi-information display.
  • The XL will additionally get ABS, EBD and Brake Assist, music system and foglights. XL will be available with both the diesel engines and the sole petrol motor.
  • The XV will be available with only the 110PS engine and will get more features in the form of dual airbags, ABS, EBD, 16-inch alloy wheels, reverse parking sensors, rear AC and leather seats.

Nissan dealerships have been flooded by queries for the Terrano and going by the rather huge response, it seems like the Renault Duster and the Ford EcoSport have some competition up ahead.
