Nissan India has launched the Micra X-Shift, a limited edition variant of the standard Micra hatchback. The X-Shift model is based on the XL trim of the Nissan Micra and marks the fifth anniversary of the Japanese carmaker in the Indian subcontinent.

Being a limited edition model, only 750 units of the Nissan Micra X-Shift will be made. To distinguish the X-Shift variant from its regular siblings, Nissan has given this limited edition model some extra features and cosmetic tweaks. The exterior of the Nissan Micra X-Shift features a matte black roof wrap, side decals with ‘X-Shift’ stickers, chrome-tipped exhaust and reverse parking sensors. Inside, the Micra X-Shift gets a new steering wheel (seen on the new Sunny saloon), armrests with silver finishing, and LED scuff plates. The integrated audio system gets Bluetooth support and steering wheel-mounted controls.

The Micra X-Shift gets Nissan’s Xtronic CVT gearbox

On the safety front, Nissan is offering the limited edition Micra X-Shift with Antilock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA), along with a driver-side airbag. Under the bonnet of the new Nissan Micra X-Shift is the 1.2-litre three-pot petrol engine that makes 77 PS of power and 104 Nm of torque. The Xtronic CVT gearbox in the Nissan Micra X-Shift will get Adaptive Shift Control (ASC) which comes with three drive modes – Normal, Economy and Sporty. Nissan has priced the limited edition Micra X-Shift at INR 6.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
