Nissan Juke Nismo RSnow: So glad that they just built one

Isn’t this the best snowmobile ever? Nissan actually went ahead and built this bonkers Juke Nismo RSnow, an object to gleefully traverse the intense Siberian or Artctic snowscapes. Teased on Twitter last week, Nissan has now released even more images and a video of the RSnow powering through the white. Beyond the Dominator Track Systems sourced snow tracks, the Juke Nismo RS has remained mostly stock, apart from Nissan trimming the arches for extra clearance and reprogramming the torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system. Otherwise, things in the high-performance compact crossover are absolutely bone-stock, even including the CVT.

As for power, the turbo-charged  engine’s 197 horsepower and 184 lb-ft are impressive figures from 1.6 liters. The RSnow is made to support an ice-driving event in Lapland, Finland, and according to Nissan, this clip below shows it at work on the Uddjaur Lake there. At -35 degrees Celsius (-31 Fahrenheit), the snow on the lake is almost 16 inches deep and still the Juke Nismo RSnow managed to hit nearly 53 mph. Watch the small clip below:
