We reported in detail when Bajaj Auto Ltd launched the new Discover 100 M last week (click here to read our Bajaj Discover 100M review). As we have been saying, the new Discover 100M sits between the Discover 100 4G and the Discover 100T and has been pitted against the Hero Splendor Pro, Hero Passion Pro, Honda Dream Neo and the likes. Bajaj is using the “Mileage ka Naya Satya” tagline to promote its new low-cost warrior and the bike’s claim to fame is its class leading power output, premium features and a stupendous fuel economy figure.
Commenting on the new bike, K Srinivas, President, Motorcycle Business, BAL, said “The Discover 100 M is the game changer for us, it should bring us big volumes. We had the presence at the entry level of 100 cc with Discover 4G and a top end of 100 cc Discover 100T. With the Discover 100 M, we are bridging the gap of the value segment which accounts for over 45 per cent of the overall motorcycle market.“
It has now emerged that BAL intends to launch two more Discover variants in the next six-eight months. In all chances, these will be as promising as the new Disco 100M.
Not much is currently know but it is being speculated that while one of these would find itself in the 100-125cc segment, the other could be a 135cc variant.
Safely expect these bikes to benefit from 4 valve tech, DTSI and a gamut of modern features. Also expect them to come at a lucrative price point.
