Just a few days ago, we brought you spy images of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire that was spotted during its public road test. Now, yet another spy image reveals the interior of the upcoming compact sedan which, according to reports, will be launched before the all-new Swift.

As seen in the spy image, the upcoming Swift Dzire receives rectangular A/C vents whereas the upcoming Swift features circular A/C vents. This also suggests that both the models will come equipped with different center consoles, although the equipment levels are likely to remain the same. Reports also suggest that this will be the first time that the upcoming Swift Dzire will be introduced prior to the introduction of the all new Swift.

One can expect features such as Maruti’s touchscreen equipped SmartPlay system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, push-button start, steering mounted controls, dual airbags, ABS and EBD. Sharing the same platform as the Baleno, the Swift as well as its sibling, the Swift Dzire are expected to be lighter than the outgoing models.

Power-train duties on the upcoming Swift Dzire are expected to be taken care of by the same 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine and the 1.2-litre K-series petrol engine while transmission options will include a manual transmission as well as Maruti’s Auto Gear Shift (AGS) technology. Once launched, the upcoming Swift Dzire will rival the Hyundai Xcent, the Volkswagen Ameo, as well as upcoming models such as the Chevrolet Beat Essentia and the Tata Kite 5.
