Various test mules of the upcoming 2017 Hyundai Verna have been spotted doing rounds of late. The test mules have always appeared in heavy camouflage and have revealed very less of the design, body lines, and exterior bits. In order to help us out with the same, the folks at Yaplakal, a Russian automotive forum have digitally rendered the next generation 2017 Hyundai Verna. The Verna is known as the Solaris or as the Accent in different global markets. The 2017 version of sedan is expected to reach the Indian shores next year.
Following the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy, the 2017 Verna is expected to get updated with design bits similar to the new 2016 Elantra. The rendered Verna features a characteristic single-frame hexagonal grille instead of the minimalistic setup on the current gen model. The headlamp units have grown in size and the fog lamps and housings too have been reworked to blend with the new design. The ORVMs are sleeker and the sedan gets door side cladding. The shoulder and waist line are retained from the previous avatar.
The rear section has been completely redesigned and features new taillamp units. The Hyundai logo has been brought down to the centre of the boot lid and the registration plate recess has been positioned on the rear bumper. The rendered version features the same set of alloys as the current gen design but the actual production version will ride on new ones. The interior of the 2017 Hyundai Verna has been spied and the spy shots reveal that the insides of the sedan have received a complete makeover.
Powering the 2017 Hyundai Verna will be retuned version of the current engine line up that comprises of 1.4 litre and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines offered with manual and automatic transmissions. At the moment, there are no details of the launch of the sedan, but we can expect the 2017 Hyundai Verna to roll out of the automaker’s factory by early 2017. The next-gen version will be priced a bit higher than the current one.
