The Toyota Fortuner and the Innova are quite popular with the Indian car buying population. Where the Innova caters to the crowd which likes to travel in a space as large as their homes, the Fortuner is popular for its butch looks and that reliable Toyota tag. Now, the next-gen Innova has been spied while being tested already and according to the good folks at Team-bhp, will make its debut at the Auto Expo, 2016. The current model of the MPV will continue to sell until early 2016 and till that time, expect a lot of limited editions coming our way. The new Innova is expected to be priced Rs. 1 – 1.5 lakh more than the outgoing model, which is already on the expensive side.
The all-new Fortuner, which has been spotted testing in Thailand will also make its debut at the Auto Expo, 2016. Toyota is also considering the launch of the Vios during the same period along with one more car, details of which aren’t available yet. The Vios follows Toyota’s new design language, which it shares with the 11th generation of the Corolla Altis. It is available with a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine that churns out 108 bhp and 141 Nm of torque and comes with the choice of an automatic or manual transmission.
