Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled the New Age XUV500 in Mumbai at an attractive price of Rs 11.12 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base W4 variant. The New Age XUV500 will now be available in 6 variants, namely, W4, W6, W8, W8 AWD and the all new W10 & W10 AWD. The top of the line W10 AWD variant will cost Rs 15.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
The cheetah inspired Mahindra XUV500 receives a slew of cosmetic upgrades on the inside as well as on the outside. On the outside, the New Age XUV500 sports a new exterior look in the form of a new front grille with chrome inserts, static bending headlamps with light guides, fog lamps with chrome bezel, an electric sunroof, first in class logo projection lamps on ORVMs, premium window chrome lining, 43cm (17-inch) alloy wheels and new rear chrome appliqué.
On the inside, the list of features include 6-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, push button start, passive keyless entry, 18cm (7-inch) touchscreen infotainment system with GPS, new black and beige interiors, and plush new beige leather seats.
Mechanically, Mahindra has slightly tweaked the engine for better fuel economy. The new XUV500 comes with features like Brake Energy Regeneration that was only found on premium cars until now which adds to better fuel consumption figures. Mahindra claims that the fuel economy numbers have improved from 15.1 kmpl to 16 kmpl (ARAI Certified).

The new Mahindra XUV500 will be available in seven colour variants: Pearl White, Volcano Black, Moondust Silver, Dolphin Grey, Opulent Purple, Tuscan Red and an all new Sunset Orange.
