New Hero Xtreme Price in India to be pegged @ INR 67,364; Bookings commence

Only yesterday, we reported that Hero is ready with the Xtreme facelift it showcased some months back, prior to the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. CLICK HERE for our earlier story. Now, it has emerged that new Hero Xtreme bookings have commenced at all Hero MotoCorp dealerships across India for an amount of INR 1,000. Also, the new Hero Xtreme price in India starts at INR 67,364 (ex-showroom, Pune for the rear-drum brake variant. The single front and rear disc variant costs INR 70,678 (ex-showroom, Pune).

The new Hero Xtreme features some minor visual enhancements that come  together to bestow the aging bike with some much needed freshness. The new Hero Xtreme is powered by the same air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder, 149.2 cc engine that powers the outgoing model. For the refreshed bike, the engine churns out a max power of 15.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 12.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five speed manual gearbox. Suspension duties are courtesy twin telescopic front forks and a set of adjustable gas charged rear shock absorbers. The bike maker’s official website says that the bike carries new features such as –
