After its highest selling motorcycle, the Splendor, Hero MotoCorp has introduced the iSmart badge on another one of its economuters, the Passion Pro. The Passion Pro iSmart is merely days away from its launch and the motorcycle has already started arriving at dealerships. The overall silhouette remains identical to standard Passion Pro but the iSmart is expected to receive different colour and graphic options.

Propeling duties are expected to be performed by the same motor that powers the Hero MotoCorp Splendor iSmart. The motor on the Splendor iSmart – fully developed by Hero MotoCorp – is a BS-IV compliant 110 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, TOD (torque-on-demand) unit that delivers 9.4 PS of power at 7,500 rpm and 9 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Transmission duties are performed by a 4-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle, similar to Splendor iSmart, will feature i3S (Idle-stop-start system) technology. The tech puts the engine into hibernation when the bike is idle (only in neutral gear) while the power is turned back ON once the clutch is pulled. Check out the blue coloured i3S ON/OFF switch located on the right hand side.
Hero MotoCorp has a press conference scheduled on Monday and the new Passion Pro iSmart is expected to be launched at the event. We would be covering the event LIVE so don’t forget to tune in on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 10:30 AM for more details.
