The Fiat 5oox small crossover has been unearthed in one leaked image via Quattroruote forums. To be presented in the Paris Auto Show in a couple of weeks, it will be the third member to join the Fiat 500 family which includes the 500 hatchback and the bigger 500L.

The 500X will be the sister model to the Jeep Renegade with which it will share its underpinnings, and will replace the discontinued Suzuki Sx4 based Sedici and will compete with the likes of Honda HR-V, Renault Captur and Nissan Juke in western markets.

The 500X definitely looks like a 500 on stilts, with the B-segment, compact crossover gaining some body cladding, a raised ride height and some roof rails to start with. The 500’s cutesy front end has been roughened up a bit, marking it’s soft roading intents. Apart from that, other visual details are scratchy at the moment.

Also, the 500X is expected to borrow heavily from the Renegade’s engine options, which consists of various four-cylinder four-cylinder mills, ranging from an entry-level 1.6-liter E.torQ petrol with 110 PS on tap all the way to the beefy 184 hp 2.4-liter Tigershark motor.
