Italian superbike marque, Ducati has introduced the new variants of its power cruiser in India. The XDiavel is available in matt black (Dark Stealth) at INR 15,87,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) while the XDiavel S will be available at 18,47,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) in gloss black (Thrilling Black) with a matt black stripe and red trim.

Unveiled right before the 2015 EICMA Show in Milan, the Xdiavel is the first cruiser from Ducati to use a belt-type final transmission. The XDiavel is designed to be a fusion of two worlds: the Cruiser world – low speeds, relaxed riding, long journeys and feet forward ergonomics and the Ducati world, characterized by Italian style, refined engineering and unparalleled performance.
The XDiavel draws power from a 1262cc Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing), L-Twin liquid cooled engine that delivers 156 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 128 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm. The XDiavel drives through a 6-speed gearbox, oil-bath clutch with slipper function. The engine has been tuned for massive low-rpm torque. The XDiavel’s ride-by-wire system enables three riding modes – Sport, Touring and Urban. The power cruiser also features launch control called the DPL or ‘Ducati Power Launch’.

The Ducati XDiavel S gets even more premium quality materials and refined finishing blend with top-level technology. On the fuel tank, the XDiavel S has an exclusive gloss black paint (Thrilling Black) with a matt black band and a red thread in the centre. The whole engine and, in particular, the belt covers are also in gloss black, and the latter are finished to leave the aluminium visible. XDiavel also features Brembo brakes.
The XDiavel provides vast scope for personalization with four different footrest positions, five selectable seats and three types of handlebars to choose from. The Ducati XDiavel features a TFT screen with four different display modes while the ‘S’ variant gets Bluetooth connectivity which can be used to access functions from the smartphone such as calls, text messages and music playlists.
Electronic net on the XDiavel includes Bosch Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), together with Ducati Traction Control (DTC), riding modes, Bosch cornering ABS, cruise control and the Ducati Power Launch (DPL) system.
