New car from Lotus to be unveiled at Geneva Motor Show. Will it be a convertible?

It has been quite some time since we last heard of a new car launch coming from the popular car maker Lotus. Instead, what we have seen reports of the company seeking a partner to free itself from parent Proton. Now, Lotus announced today that it will come up with a new car at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show that is scheduled for next month.

In a statement, the folks at Lotus said,“Now, with a display of true fighting spirit, we’ll take this one step further in Geneva.” The manufacturer gave no details on the upcoming car but the company stating that ‘we’ll blow the roof off…’ has set many thinking that the new car is going to be a drop top convertible. Rumors suggest that this new car will be a convertible version of the Evora.

  1. If the rumor is true,then Yamaha can keep their 10k discount and add 10-20cc to the engine.
