Popular among youngsters for its new age design, the new 2017 Honda Dio has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs. 49,132 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). Like most new models this year, the refreshed Honda Dio gets a BSIV compliant engine and comes with an Auto headlamp On feature.
Design wise, it more or less looks the same, however, the front apron has been tweaked to look a little different now. The funky scoot also gets new graphics and a dual-tone colour scheme.
Feature wise, the new 2017 Honda Dio gets an underseat mobile charging port, a different design for the instrument cluster and what used to be featureless until now, the handlebar gets a little V-shaped LED lamp. The seat is now slightly wider, and the scooter also gets Honda’s combi braking system along with tubeless tyres. However, it still sticks to drum brakes and a rudimentary front suspension.
The New Honda Dio continues with the same 109cc engine which still makes 8 bhp and 8.9 Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheel via a V-matic CVT. Top speed is rated at 83 kph, and the Dio will cover a fair amount of distance before its 5.3-liter tank runs out of fuel.
