Previewed ahead of it’s global debut ahead of it Paris debut, the all-new 2015 Ford S-MAX minivan has been revealed. Based on the Mondeo/Fusion, the fresh MPV draws inspiration from the S-Max concept which was showcased at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
The smart, roomy looking van flaunts Ford’s latest styling philosophy, including the bold new grille, and offers new practicality oriented features like power-folding seats on the second and third row, a hands-free tailgate, electrically adjusted steering wheel and heated and cooled seats as well. The S-MAX also gets a new active parking system, lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring and automatic braking.
No official details on the engines have been announced, but the engine range will include Ford’s new 158hp 1.5-liter and 237hp 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol units, along with a 2.0-liter TDCi diesel units available in 118hp, 148hp and 177hp states of tune. An all-wheel drive system is on the offing as well.
