We were tired of watching the all black Mahindra Mojo test mules and it seems like the two-wheeler arm of the USD 16.5 billion Mahindra Group deeply understands our woes. The Mahindra Mojo is still under rigorous testing but we think Mahindra Two-wheelers has decided to entertain the journalist fraternity and the followers by putting out a dual tone variant of this upcoming motorcycle.

Draped in the dual-tone paint job, originally revealed at the 2010 Auto Expo, the motorcycle was spotted doing test runs on the old Mumbai-Pune highway. It has been over half a decade of research and development but there are still no indications about the launch of this 295cc motorcycle from Mahindra yet. The test mule did not have an engine protective underbelly that was showcased at the Auto Expo but we expect to see this part installed on the final product.

Mahindra Mojo is expected to be powered by a 295cc, four stroke, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine with Dual Overhead Camshaft (DOHC). The engine is likely to deliver 27 bhp of power and 25Nm of torque and will come mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Earlier reports suggested that Mahindra will put a price tag of Rs 1.25 lakh on the upcoming Mojo. Our colleague spotted one of the several test mules in Pune, while he was testing the new Bajaj RS200, and he was really impressed with the way that 295cc single pot motor pulls the motorcycle into the higher speed range.
