The GLA 45 AMG is basically a high-performance version of the carmaker’s new entry-level crossover and is powered by the same engine that powers the A 45 and the CLA 45 AMG. This 2.0-liter 4-cylinder Euro 6-compliant turbocharged gasoline motor has a max power of 360 HP (265 kW) and peak torque of 450 Nm (331 lb-ft). All this power is sent to all four wheels via AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed gearbox. The car can hit 62 mph from standstill in 4.8 seconds and has an electronically  limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

Visual updates for the GLA AMG variant include a body kit, a quad exhaust system, chunkier mag wheels, a set of vents, beefy side skirts and beefier bumpers.

The new Mercedes Benz GLA 45 AMG will be sold with a range of optional packages which would bring along some carbon fibre, red brake calipers, an interior carbon fibre trim, new upholstery and performance seats.
