Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake: First images and details

Mercedes has introduced us to the CLS 63 AMG Shooting brake version. One of the fastest estate cars in the world, the CLS 63 AMG with its peak power of 518bhp (or 550 bhp with more options in ‘Edition 1’ version) is mind-bogglingly potent for its shape. With a claimed 0-100km/h sprint time of 4.3 seconds and electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h this one is a ridiculously fast wagon shaped car. The direct injection petrol engine on the car features twin-turbo with spray-guided combustion, piezo injectors and intercoolers.

The hi on power engine of the CLS 63 AMG comes mated with a transmission with four modes – Controlled Efficiency with permanently turns the start/stop function on, Sport, Sport Plus and Manual. Suspension duties are taken care of by steel struts up front and air suspension at the rear with auto level control and an electronic damping system. All this aids ride quality as well as sure-footed handling around corners.

  1. When will they boost up the diesel BHP to above 90 or more? Left swing of wipers? And, I would love to see it with lots of bells and whistles like in XUV500! Introduce quarter glass at least of rear-doors?

  2. Yatharth Chauhan

Yeah, that may not be true to Logan's design philosophy which has economic sense as its priority but for India a different looking Logan may work

  3. I used to hate the Logan- just for the way it looked. But having seated in on the move- I would say its such an awesome car. I would suggest they change the outside body shell to a better design.
