Mercedes Benz India has launched the new version of its stylish CLS-class in India priced at Rs 67.67 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai. The CLS class is powered by a 3.5 liter (3498)cc V6 petrol engine with 306bhp of power produced at 6500 rpm and peak torque rated at 370Nm between 3500-5250 rpm. 0-100 sprint comes in a little more than 6 secs and top speed is electronically limited at 250km/h. Transmission duties are taken care of by the acclaimed 7G-Tronic auto tranny, along with 4matic wheel drive system.
The CLS class which got wows across the world for its coupe like styling for a sedan for the first time in the world, also boasts of being the first car with full LED headlamps.

Pune: Mercedes-Benz India today unveiled the all New CLS 350 BE. The new CLS-Class combines scintillating design with exclusivity and sportiness. Individuality, Design and Innovation
The New CLS 350 remains as spectacular as its predecessors, combining luminous design with top notch exclusivity and sportiness. The exterior of this German beauty conveys aggression and dominance with its elongated front and its governing radiator grille. With a body that gracefully boasts of its sleek lines and shapely contours the New CLS-Class demonstrates its supremacy over others. The muscular rear end with its wide shoulder line appends to the appearance, interpreting the athletic character of the New CLS. Lightweight construction and aerodynamics: important contributions to Efficiency
As a part of the BlueEFFICIENCY measures used in the New CLS-Class, The Intelligent lightweight construction plays a decisive role thereby making this car the first vehicle from Mercedes-Benz to have frameless, all-aluminium doors. These are made from deep-drawn aluminium panels with extruded sections, and in comparison with conventional steel doors, are some 24 kilograms lighter. Apart from the doors, the bonnet, front wings, boot lid, parcel shelf, various support profiles and substantial parts of the suspension and engines are all made of aluminium.
