Mercedes Benz India will roll out its 50,000th car from the Chakan facility today. To commemorate this milestone-achievement, the car maker will launch yet another special edition of the C-Class sedan. To be called as the Mercedes Benz C Class Grand Edition, this commemorative model, in all likelihood, would be the last of the limited edition models of the outgoing generation of C Class.
The Chakan assembly plant of Mercedes Benz India assembles the C-Class, ML-Class, GL-Class and the E-Class. The car maker will also commence the assembly of the new gen S-Class in next few months.

It is being expected that the C Class Grand Edition won’t boast of any mechanical changes and might be offered in C220 CDI diesel engine variant.
However, the car could get quite a few minor visual updates in the form such as – an updated front grille, new badges and a new set of alloy wheels. The car could also get bespoke upholstery and additional equipment.
The Mercedes C Class Grand Edition could be pricier than the regular variant bu up to INR 80000.
