Subsequent to the price leaks doing the rounds on the internet since yesterday, German car manufacturer Mercedes Benz finally announced the prices of the new AMG GT from US$ 129,900 onwards.
This pricing has been looked upon as a smart move that puts the new Mercedes AMG GT right in the territory (though marginally higher) of the Porsche 911 GT3 and the Audi R8 (V8 variant)- but pips them both in terms of horsepower at 503 bhp. But in case the price appears steep to a few, a toned down 456 bhp is in the pipeline next year at a cheaper quote.
So here’s what you get in case you’re planning to book the new AMG on the block:
-4.0 litre bi-turbo V8 cranking out 503 bhp of max power and 650 nm of peak torque
-Nappa Leather
-Keyless-GO
-COMAND Online Information System
-Collision Prevention Assist PLUS
-Parktronic
-8 Airbags
-19″ Front / 20″ Rear wheels
-AMG Adaptive Suspension
-LED Headlamps
-Power heated/memory AMG Performance Seats
-Rearview Camera
-Red Brake Calipers
-AMG 3-Stage ESP
-Burmester Surround Sound System.
Deliveries would start from April this year and the price doesn’t include $925 as delivery charges. How worried Porsche and Audi should get with the GT’s entry- we look forward to a three way battle between the three German giants.
