VIDEO: Mercedes Benz A class. Goes on sale in European markets

The much publicized new Mercedes Benz A Class has been just launched in the European markets. The car was been unveiled just a few hours before this year’s Geneva Motor Show. It may be noted that the latest A Class has an entirely new design both inside and out along with a list of technologies that are being offered on the A Class for the first time. The car has received a mature styling and the front fascia won’t look odd even on a sedan. The rear lamps improve airflow around the car! Talking about the interiors, the German auto manufacturer lets you choose between “Urban”, “Style” and “AMGSport” options to customize the interior styling around their likes. The car comes with an app that enables you to use the full functionality of your smartphones.

The car goes on sale with a sticker price of €23,978.50 (16.7 lakh Indian rupees) for the base model. This variant comes with a petrol motor displacing 1.6 liters and having 121 hp to play with. Talking about the oil burners, there are as many as three diesel variants – an entry level model powered by the Renault K9K 1461cc motor paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and two variants with a 1,796cc mill that produces 109hp and 136hp and is paired to a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual clutch transmission respectively.
