In an effort to add some spunk to the brand and lure younger buyers, Maruti Suzuki has launched a Windsong edition of their Swift hatchback. What doesn’t surprise is the fact that mechanically, the Swift continues to be similar to its normal variants and changes are only cosmetic. However, this variant should appeal to club hopping party animals, as it comes with several additions which would accentuate their lifestyle.
To be available on the Vxi and Vdi variants of the Maruti Swift, this limited edition Maruti Swift has been slapped with ‘Windsong’ graphics on the sides, black stripes that run across the bonnet and extend over to the roof and the tailgate, a rear spoiler, rear parking sensors and mud flaps at the front and rear. On the inside, the Maruti Swift Windsong gets a Sony touchscreen music system that comes with Bluetooth and an external mic, black seat covers with yellow highlights, a matching steering cover, an illuminated door sill guard, ambient interior lighting and floor mats that tell you which car you are seated in. The Maruti Swift is powered by a 1.2 K-series petrol and a 1.3 DDIS diesel engine, which makes the Swift one of the more exciting hatchbacks to cut through the wind while you hum your favorite song.
