India’s bestseller, the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire is going to get a mild makeover soon. Following the recently unveiled Swift face-lift, the ‘if it ain’t broke why fix it’ philosophy continues here as well, with the face-lift receiving minor cosmetic enhancements. The revised front fascia comprises of a new grille with a thick chrome lip, a more imaginative front bumper with chrome highlights and a bigger, smarter looking air-dam. Newly designed alloy wheels will make it too.
On the inside, other than the push start button, the car is expected to get an upholstery/trim change and Auto Up feature for the driver’s side window. Other new features could include electrically retractable ORVMs, keyless entry, Bluetooth and Auto headlamps. The car seen here sports a new blue shade, indicating that there would be new colors on offer, like the Swift.
Mechanically, the car is expected to remain unchanged, which means that the 1.2 litre, four pot, normally aspirated K12B petrol engine and the 1.3 litre, four pot, turbocharged, Fiat sourced mill will continue to do duty. However the new engines will also reflect some updates made on the Swift face-lift which give it better fuel economy.
