India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki, sold a total of 110,776 units in August 2014. This includes 98,304 units in domestic market and 12,472 units in exports. The Company had sold a total of 87,323 units in August 2013.

The overall passenger vehicle segment, for the month of August, with a growth of 30.4 percent, stood at 82,823 units as against 63,499 units in the same period last year. The utility vehicle and vans segment also witnessed 20.3 percent and 25.6 percent rise respectively for the month of August, year on year.
