Maruti Ertiga facelift revealed in new images

2015 Maruti Ertiga facelift (7)

Media drives of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift have already started in Indonesia, and images by Autonetmagz already reveal the car in detail. The facelift brings about a handful of changes on the outside which include a bolder, bigger three slat grille with generous dabbings of chrome, a muscular front bumper, a new rear bumper and redesigned alloy wheels.

Higher variants get some heavy handed chrome trimming on the front bumpers, highlighting the bigger fog lamp surrounds. Oh, and the tail gate now gets a chrome applique with Ertiga lettering embossed on it, bridging the same old tail lamps. Additional reflectors flank the applique, to visually enhance the people mover’s width.

The interiors are EXACTLY the same. New features include electric folding mirrors, Auto Up power window on the drivers side, and an optional socket console box in the second row. The 3rd row seats now come with a 50:50 split fold, while the interior colours and upholstery get altered somewhat. Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system and automatic climate control are missing, but steering wheel mounted audio controls make it though. Twin airbags have been standardised across the range as well.

The petrol engine is EXACTLY the same. Powering the petrol variant is a 1.4 liter K-series engine (K14B) that now produces 92 PS of maximum power, 3 less than its predecessor, along with 130 Nm of peak torque. A 5 speed manual transmission sends power to the front wheels. Fuel efficiency figures are also expected to shoot up north.
