Mahindra Two Wheelers September sales volumes grow by 136% over previous year

Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), a part of the USD 16.2 billion Mahindra Group, continues to post healthy numbers on the sales charts of the two wheeler segment.

The company’s September volumes stood at 20,890, a growth of 136%, while domestic volumes stood at 19,716 units, a growth of 143% over the previous year.

The company has registered strong growth backed by burgeoning demand for its new Mahindra Centuro, with over 50,000 bookings received till date. MTWL is rapidly enhancing production to meet this strong demand.

Designed entirely in-house at the company’s R&D Centre in Pune, the Mahindra Centuro is powered by Mahindra’s indigenously developed MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine that has a max power output of 8.5 BHP @ 7500 rpm, peak torque of 8.5 Nm @ 5500 rpm and an ARAI tested fuel economy of 85.4 kmpl.

The fully loaded Mahindra Centuro is available at an attractive price of Rs. 46,000 (ex showroom- New Delhi).
