Mahindra Two Wheelers, part of the Mahindra Group, announced its sales numbers for October 2014, which stood at 22,404 units. The sales number stood at 17,565 units for the month of September 2014. Although the two-wheeler maker saw a rise in sales numbers, it was not able to breach last year’s record numbers of 29,696 units during October 2013.

Mahindra Two Wheelers recently introduced a new scooter named Gusto and the manufacturer claims that it has received positive response from the audience. Commenting on the performance, Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, “The response to our new scooter Gusto has been very good and we are ramping up our production capacity to meet the demand. The Centuro range has also seen significant uptake in demand and we expect to increase our market share over the next few months.”
We also believe that the festive season would have contributed to positive sales numbers. Also, the introduction of new variant of its motorcycle, the Centuro Rockstar would have added to the sales numbers.
