Now, the new BMW M4 Convertible has been officially unveiled at the ongoing 2014 New York International Auto Show. The new BMW M4 Convertible prices start at $73,425 in the North America and deliveries of the new model will commence later this summer.
Powering the new BMW M4 Convertible is a 3.0 liter V6 engine that benefits from M TwinPower Turbo technology that features two mono-scroll turbochargers. All this enables the V6 to produce a max power of 431 hp between 5,500 and 7,300 rpm and peak torque of 550 Nm between 1,850 and 5,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a six speed gearbox. Also on offer is a 7 speed Dual Clutch Transmission. The BMW M4 convertible should appeal to those who want the wind in the air experience, without having the compromise on the performance that comes associated with a BMW M model. Much like the BMW M4 Coupe, the M4 Convertible features an aggressive exterior styling, that is befitting for a car with performance figures like those. Quite obviously, the most prominent difference between the two M4s is the power retractable hard top on the new model, as against the fixed roof top of the Coupe sibling. The M4 Convertible’s top cam be lowered in 20 seconds at speeds of up to 11 mph.
