Lamborghini hosts the first Super Sports Car drive for Women in India

Lamborghini India held the first Super Sports Car Drive for Women in New Delhi. Extending its spirit to a broader spectrum of audience, the drive was initiated to encourage the culture of driving passion among women. The drive was flagged off by Armaan Ebrahim, the Indian contender for Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo along with Sharad Agarwal, the Head of Lamborghini India. Leading the drive was Sheetal Dugar, the first Indian woman to own and drive a Lamborghini. She was accompanied by eight women from different walks of life for this drive.

The drive included a Lamborghini experience on city roads and on a race track (Buddha International Circuit). The drive covered 45 km commencing from Shangri-La, Hotel, centre of New Delhi to Buddha International Circuit (BIC) giving the experience on ease of handling and maneuvering on city roads to all the women drivers. Later all the women drivers were given the drive experience on BIC, where Armaan Ebrahim guided them on driving a Lamborghini on a race track.

Speaking on the occasion, Sheetal Dugar said that it was a privilege to be a part of the first ever super sports car drive for women conducted by Lamborghini in India. It was the first time that she has ever driven in an all-women drive. Events like this should motivate women in the country to follow their passion for driving super sports cars. It felt as if she was exploring new horizons and crossing more boundaries every time that she was behind the steering wheel.

Andrea Baldi, General Manager Automobili Lamborghini Asia Pacific said, “With the number of women car buyers increasing every year globally, we are glad that Lamborghini India took this initiative to provide a platform for women to drive super sports cars in India.”

Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India added, “We intend to serve as a catalyst for the passion of driving among women. Lamborghini India will take this initiative forward across other cities in the country.”
