KTM Duke 390 Black color sales to commence in February

We reported in detail when it first emerged that Bajaj-KTM is close to launching black paint option for the KTM 390 Duke in India.

The KTM 390 Duke India launch happened way back in June last year (Click here for our launch reportClick here for KTM 390 Duke Review) and the 375cc Duke has been quick in making its way to the top of the wishlist of many bike aficionados in the country.  

So far, the KTM 390 Duke has been on sale in India with just one paint option- White (with Orange highlights). However, this is set to change with the advent of the black color option. It has now emerged that the KTM 390 Duke black color sales will commence in February and there are good chances that the bike, with the new paint option, will greet us at Auto Expo 2014.

The new KTM 390 Duke is capable of dismissing the 100kmph figure from standstill in around 6 secs and the bike has a top whack of more than 150kmph. The KTM 390 Duke is capable of hitting 130kmph in merely 10-11 secs. Powering the KTM 390 Duke is a 375cc, single cylinder, fuel injected engine that has a max power of 44 PS and peak torque of 35Nm. The highly potent engine comes mated to a 6 speed manual transmission.
