Now, it has emerged that the Kia GT4 Stinger production model could actually be a reality in near future. This revelation comes from the designer behind Kia GT4 Stinger concept. In an interview to Auto Express, Tom Kearns said that the Stinger GT4 is a “total concept but when we do these cars we have in the back of our minds that if we decide to make it, we don’t have to change it too much.” Kearns further added that the Stinger GT4 concept, in case it is given a thumbs up, will lose its vertical LED headlights and see-through A-pillars for the production model.

While there are good chances that the Stinger might never make it to production, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe might provide for a decent base in case Kia decides to go ahead with coming  up with a production model of the Stinger.

If launched, the Kia GT4 Stinger production model would rival the Toyota 86, Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, Mazda MX-5 and the likes. Kearns added, “Pricing has to be fitting for a Kia – it’s a value brand.”
