“Call of the Wild” says Kawasaki heavy Industries’ Japanese website with the dateline marked as 05.11.2013. Also usage of the Japanese word “Sugomi” when translated means dreadfulness/ ghastliness/ weirdness has generally been associated with Kawasaki’s Z series of Motorcycles- more particularly the Kawasaki Z800 and the Z250 which have been recent unveilings by the Japanese manufacturer.

Though no details have been revealed except quick flashes of a motorcycle in a video that reads “Z Sugomi Call of the Wild”, with great patience we did manage to grab a few screenshots of the frames and it does seem that the motorcycle would most probably be the 2014 Kawasaki Z1000. With the Z250 and the Z800 already available, and well the Z1000SX being the most recent unveil, we couldn’t think of anything except a 2014 variant of the muscular streetfighter from Kawasaki’s lineup. The traditional and aggressive dual-lamp headlight design is another hint and so is the rakish tail light, and this time, the Z1000 looks to be sporting projector lamps instead of regular halogens.

With the date marked as 5th November 2013 for unveiling that’s just 2 days before the EICMA 2013, the new Z1000 should be sharing space on Kawasaki’s stage at the exhibition in Milan. An already aggressively styled motorcycle quoted to be on a more wilder side- well, it does seem exciting, at least as depicted in the video. However, whether the 2014 Kawasaki Z1000 gets an upgrade to its 136 bhp 1043cc engine or is it merely a styling makeover- the truth should be out in just over a month’s time.
