Regulars here would remember that we recently posted in detail about the India launch of the Kawasaki Ninja 300R. The Ninja 300R, which was unveiled last year, has been seen in India on more than a couple of occasions and it has been a widely known fact that the 300cc sportsbike is close to  being launched in our country. ne of our readers from Kerela informed us that the local Probiking dealer is taking unofficial bookings for the new bike for a sun of INR 50000.The newest bike in the Ninja line up of sportsbikes was earlier being touted as a replacement model for the 250R. However, the new 300R and the latest Ninja 250R, which are almost bog similar in looks, will sell alongside each other in most of the markets. In India though, the new 250R might arrive sometime after the new 300R.

Going by the spec sheet, the Ninja 300R should be a tad sportier than the 250R and will be a definite step ahead towards filling the void that prevails between the 250cc and the 600cc performance motorcycles.

Powering the new Kawasaki Ninja 300 is a 296cc, parallel twin, liquid cooled, fuel injected motor with dual throttle valves. The 300cc variant of the Ninja has a max power figure of 39 PS@11000 RPM and has a peak torque output of 27 Nm @ 10,000 RPM. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel thru a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new wears a 110 section tire up front and 140 section tire at the rear.

We have been closely following the developments associated with the Kawasaki Ninja 300R India Launch and last we checked, Kawasaki Ninja 300R display bikes have already been dispatched to some of the dealerships. Now, it has emerged that the Ninja 300R has inched even closer to its India launch and the new bike will be launched this month.

We are surely excited and feel that every Indian biking aficionado out there looks all set for a treat in near future.

The new Kawasaki Ninja 300R is very well poised to open gates to all new segment in Indian bike market and should appeal to those who wish for that wee bit extra from an entry level sportsbikes.
