Subsequent to a few spy pictures floating on the web world, the blokes at Kawasaki themselves decided to do the honours by officially revealing a few pictures of the Kawasaki J300 Maxiscooter.

Slated for EICMA 2013 launch the J300 is essentially a Kymco Downtown 300i dressed up in Kawasaki clothing. Catering to the European markets, the J300 retains the liquid cooled electronic fuel injected 298cc four stroke engine mounted on a light weight dual cradle chassis coupled to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

The Kawasaki J300 Maxiscooter would also be sporting similar tyre specs with a 120/80-14 Front and 150/70-13 Rear. Braking duties are taken care off by a disc brakes setup at the front and rear. Though the ABS Sensor Rings are visible in the pic, the J300 would most probably sport ABS as optional as in the case of the 300i.

Other features include integrated passenger grips, a centre hook, 12v charging outlet, illuminated under seat storage to comfortably fit 2 full size helmets, dual beam quartz halogen head lights, integrated passenger pegs, telescopic front and 5 position adjustable rear shocks.

Expect performance figures to be similar to the Downtown 300i which claims a top speed of 140 kph and stress free cruising around the 110 kph mark.

With a reasonable punchy performance and comfort for two up riding, the Kawasaki J300 Maxiscooter aims to offer an effective mix of comfortable city commuting and long distance touring.

All eyes set at the EICMA 2013.
