Ford Figo Sports

A juicier variant of the Ford Figo caught hiding at a dealership

The brilliant little Ford Figo is your best bet if you’ve always fancied a Focus but can’t buy one. Only available until now in a guise that looked to please the civil society, a juicier variant has now been spotted at a dealer yard. In all probability, it will be called the Ford Figo ‘Sports’, and like its rivals, will carry cosmetic changes that mirror the current trend. No news yet if the car will also be tweaked mechanically.

Visible changes include a new honeycomb pattern grille, which looks very Mustang, along with smoked treatment for the headlamps. Wheels get a blacked out treatment, which also spills over to the roof and the side mirrors for that contrast effect. A largish spoiler with a high mounted stop lamp comes attached to the roof, while the side profile gets a subtle sticker job that sticks itself to the rear bumper too. Changes on the inside could be limited to a leather wrap for the steering and contrast stitching for the seats. Ford might add a lot more than we speculate though.

Currently, the Ford Figo is available with a choice of engines which include a 1.2-liter petrol and 1.5-liter diesel with 5-speed manual, and a 1.5-liter petrol with a 6-speed dual clutch auto box.
