Isuzu Motors India opens first dealership in Kolkata, culminates 1033 km “Max Run Challenge”

Isuzu Motors India has just inaugurated Mohanmotor Isuzu, the company’s first dealership outlet in Kolkata. Isuzu Motors India just held their third “Max Run Challenge”. This long distance drive commenced in Lucknow on 8 June 2015 and ended in Kolkata two days and 1033 kilometers later.

The drive was flagged off in Lucknow on June 8 and the vehicles covered over 1000 km.

Isuzu’s new D-MAX pickup was filled with 50.58 litres of fuel. The vehicle then went on to cover 1033 km and averaged 20.42 km/l. The culmination of this journey was celebrated by inaugurating the company’s first dealership outlet in East India. Shigeru Wakabayashi, Deputy Managing Director, Isuzu Motors India, said, “We are extremely happy to be here in Kolkata, as we are progressing rapidly in terms of our network expansion. With our presence in Kolkata, we will provide customers in the east unique advantages of our product portfolio that will help them invigorate their businesses. Isuzu D-MAX

The Isuzu D-MAX is built on a heavy-duty chassis and comes with a spacious cargo deck to haul cargo. The cab portion of the D-MAX is constructed out of high-tensile steel for better occupant protection. Suspension duties at the front are handled by independent coil springs and at the rear there’s the traditional leaf springs setup. Isuzu recently introduced new variants of their D-Max pickup range of vehicles with additional comfort and practicality.
