Little by little, ŠKODA continues to unwrap its first and upcoming Kodiaq large SUV. This time, the Czech automobile manufacturer gives a first glimpse inside the new Kodiaq. The new, India bound ŠKODA Kodiaq will have its world premiere in Berlin on 1 September 2016.

The Kodiaq’s infotainment systems will offer Apple Car Play and Android Auto integration, along with capacitive touchscreens.

The dashboard, which picks a leaf from the Kodiaq’s precursor – the Vision S Concept’s –  is divided into two symmetrical zones for driver and passenger. The dashboard is characterised by the four, large, vertically positioned air vents. While the middle ones flank the on-board monitor, their edges run along the top of the instrument panel and form a trapezoid, which reflects the Kodiaq’s bonnet’s surfacing. All switches and functions have a self-explanatory layout, and the seats are said to be made of high quality materials.

The external dimensions of 4.70 meters in length and 1.88 meters in width are believed to have generated generous cabin space. For the first time in a ŠKODA, the SUV is also available with seven seats. Along with longitudinally adjustable reclining seats and a heated steering wheel (optional), more than 30 ‘Simply Clever’ solutions, such as the door edge protection, electric child safety locks and sleep headrests have been incorporated into the Kodiaq’s interiors. With a volume of 720 to 2,065 l (with rear seats folded), the five-seater ŠKODA Kodiaq is claimed to offer the largest boot in its class.
