India Bound Kawasaki ER-6n Showcased at 2014 Bangkok Motor Show

Japanese motorcycle maker Kawasaki has showcased the ER-6n at the 2014 Bangkok International Motor Show. According to reports, Kawasaki will be launching the ER-6n in India by the end of this year.

The Kawasaki ER-6n is basically the naked version of the Ninja 650, which is already on sale in the Indian market. Powering the ER-6n is the same 649 cc, 8v, DOHC, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel twin motor that powers the Ninja 650. This 649 cc motor produces 72.1 PS of max power at 8,500 RPM and 64 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The ER-6n is 2,100 mm long, 770 mm wide and 1,110 mm tall. The bike has a 130 mm ground clearance and comes fitted with a 16 liter fuel tank. The bike tips the scales at 206 kgs. The ER-6n is equipped with dual 300 mm petal type discs at the front and a single 220 mm petal type disc at the rear.
