Honda is gearing up to refresh its CBR series in India. The upcoming CBR250R and CBR150R would receive cosmetic as well as minor technical upgrades. Now although there is no word from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer about the India launch dates, the CBR150R has been launched in Indonesia. With the festive season brewing, we believe that there is a great possibility to see the CBR150R in Indian showrooms soon.

Cosmetically, the new CBR150R gets Fireblade style dual headlight and a new exhaust. The upcoming CBR150R also gets a Truss frame and pro-link suspension which are borrowed from its bigger siblings. At the heart of the new CBR150R is the same 149.4cc single-cylinder cooled engine but with a new dicylinder head and muffler and a remapped ECU. With these upgrades, the new CBR150R puts out 17.1 PS of power and 13Nm of torque versus 17.8 PS and 12.66Nm that the previous model made.

The current CBR150R is not doing any wonders for Honda as sales figures continue to slide down. Honda’s hopes to have a successful product in the 150cc premium motorcycle segment lies on the new CBR150R. The only competition to Honda CBR150R is the fully faired Yamaha R15.
