The India bound Honda BR-V recently went through the ASEAN NCAP crash test, the result of which was recently declared. The crossover went on to score a full 5 star rating for frontal offset impact and side impact test in the crash test.

For AOP(Adult Occupant Protection), the BR-V scored 14.79 points while for the Child Occupancy Protection (COP) it scored 72%. The variant that received the 5 star rating was equipped with safety features such as ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and SBR (Seatbelt Reminder System). The lower variants were not equipped with these features and hence scored 4 stars for AOP.

A petrol mill is also said to be on the cards and is said to make 119 PS of power while the former will be good for 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque. While both the diesel and petrol engines are said to arrive with a six speed manual transmission, the petrol variant could also come with a 5 or 6 speed CVT gearbox.
