Mahindra has launched its new NuvoSport compact SUV in India at an event in Mumbai today, with prices starting from INR 7.35 lakhs. A fully accessorized example of the NuvoSport was on display at the launch venue, showing off its ornamentation. The NuvoSport’s accessory pack includes chrome adornments on the fascia, chromed door handles and a smattering of other chrome bits all around.
The front fascia is garlanded with chrome trims on the grille, hood scoop and around the fog lamps. The headlamps have been left alone.
The ORVM overs, door handles and even the spare wheel cover hasn’t been spared from the chrome treatment.
This bit of shine on the fender doesn’t come with the accessory pack, but is a standard fitment.
Off topic: From the side, the NuvoSport enhances the Quanto’s stance with new 16″ wheels, bigger cladding and a re-profiled front section.
The new NuvoSport is positioned between the TUV300 and the XUV500, with a more urbane character than the former. Key highlights of the NuvoSport include an autoSHIFT (AMT), the same New Generation Platform as Scorpio, a 1.5-litre mHawk100 diesel engine that delivers 74.6 kW (100 bhp) of power and 240 Nm of torque, 5+2 seating, an adjustable and reclining 2nd row, dual tone interiors, faux leather upholstery, 15.75cm (6.2”) Touchscreen Infotainment System,ABS with EBD and dual airbags available right from the base variant as optional and standard from the mid variant.
