Renault Kwid Customization Pack

Not resting on its laurels after being the best looking car in its class, Renault can further deck up your Kwid with as many as six customization packs right from the dealership. The packs are as follows :

  • Luxury Pack
  • Intense Chrome
  • Essential Pack
  • Basic Pack
  • Outdoor Pack
  • Smart Chrome

The Intense and Smart Chrome packs add tail lamp finishers, a weather deflector, a headlamp eyeliner, door handles, a bumper corner protector, fog lamp surrounds, exhaust finishers and bumper garnish, ALL of the above finished in chrome [Gallery below – click on thumbnail to enlarge].

The Luxury Pack adds a car cover, illuminated sill plates, designer cabin floor mat, gear-shift chrome bezel, interior ambient lighting and front chrome garnish for the grille [Gallery below – click on thumbnail to enlarge].

The Outdoor Pack is our favourite, and adds front and rear bumper finishers, weather deflector, side body cladding, roof rails and bumper corner protectors [Gallery below – click on thumbnail to enlarge].

Apart from the ambient lighting and fancy floor mats, the seats can also be upholstered with a choice of upholsteries [Gallery below – click on thumbnail to enlarge].

Of course, if you’re adventurous enough, you can individually mix and match all the elements posted above, and come up with your one-of-a-kind Kwid.

The Renault Kwid is based on Renault-Nissan Alliance’s modular CMF-A platform, and will be manufactured in and exported from India. The Kwid is 3.68 meters long; 1.58 meters wide and boasts of a relatively high, 180 mm of ground clearance, along with “SUV styling” and a class leading 2.42 metre wheelbase. Power comes from a 799 cc, three-cylinder DOHC engine outputting 54 bhp and 72 Nm, making the Kwid the most powerful car in its class. Fuel efficiency, at 25.17 kmpl, will also be class leading.

Thanks to a high localization content of 98%, the Kwid has been launched with an aggressive pricing structure (INR 2.57 – 3.53 lakh). Segment first features on the inside will include a touchscreen Media-Nav multimedia/navigation system with a seven-inch display and a fully digital instrument console. The Kwid is expected to launch sometime in September 2015, in a few days from now. Bookings have already commenced, and once can also book the car via the Renault Kwid app with a token amount of INR 5,000. Read our Renault Kwid review here.
