IMAGE GALLERY: DC Volkswagen Polo

We have always liked the way the Volkswagen Polo looks. The car, which sports a very tuetonic styling, looks like it is built like a tank and does not needs to have sharp edges n curves to look modern. Now, talking about DC designs, I don’t usually have good things to say about them and this time, they have decided to have a go at the Polo. The car gets sleeker headlights, a wide body kit, new bumpers and some fatter rubber. The car now gets two end cans and performance upgrades include a new air filter and a free flow exhaust. On the inside, tha car gets bucket seats, a dosage of red highlights and a hi end touch screen audio system.  The DC Polo is powered by the 1.6-litre 105 bhp petrol engine but safely assume that the wider tyres will take the toll on the performance. Not something that can be cured by a FFE and a performance air filter.

The car comes with a price tag of Rs.34.5 lakhs (including the cost of donor car) and we are still scratching our heads and trying to figure out who would buy this. But one thing is for sure; DC has done a good job with the car. And this is something big if you see that the car comes from the makers of the ridiculously styled Avanti and other weird looking concepts.

  1. First I have seen this car in Autocar issue 4/6 months ago. Frankly speaking, this is sheer waste of time, money & efforts… What DC wants to prove with this irrational after market make up? Do he thinks by stretching the lines to far extents makes a thing more muscular? or by making surface angles below measurable limit makes it more beautiful? And all for Rs 34.5 Lacks? absurd.. Only man without sense will by this art of shit at that price… And yes, after 4/6 months its still DC property, means he cant sell it… why don't DC try to sell it discount… preferably 75% off…. 😀 😀
