Hyundai’s Alto Basher H800\HA Spied In Korea

We have reported to you earlier regarding Hyundai’s getting aggressive to enter the mass market which is dominated by the Maruti Alto. Hyundai is planning a smaller car which sits on a platform smaller than the Hyundai Santro.

The H800\HA was spotted doing test rounds in India too, these spy images come all the way from Korea which is the hometown for Hyundai. Maybe Hyundai is not limiting their new small car only for the Indian market they may plan to launch the new car globally.

The H800\HA looks more like a fusion of the Hyundai i10 and the Hyundai Santro. Hyundai will expect major sales of this car in India where the buyer is looking forward for a very practical solution for the northward heading petrol prices. Being a Hyundai we can expect this car to be a  value for money and practical package. This tiny wonder from Hyundai will be launched in the first half of 2012 and is expected to be showcased at the Indian Auto Expo 2012  in January.

Y K Koo, Senior Director (Sales and Marketing) HMIL during the launch of the New Verna in Andhra Pradesh said “We are planning to launch it in the first half of next year. The car will be manufactured in Indian plant. HMI is very strong in compact car segment. With this launch, we hope to dominate the rural market also. That is our strategy. If we have a small car it is easy to penetrate into the rural market,”
